This is for people who, like me, wondered:

Dear Teodora

Thank you very much for your e-mail and your interest in ISU European Figure Skating Championships 2011 Bern .

The entrance ticket is valid for a return trip from any Swiss railway station to Bern (PostFinance-Arena) (Adult 2nd class) on the day that the ticket is valid.

It means that you are able to use public transportation for free on the day that your ticket is valid.

If you have an all-event ticket, you will be able to use public transportation within Switzerland from 23 January – 30 January, 2011.

If you have a ticket for e.g. Saturday 29 January, 2011 you will be able to arrive public transportation within Switzerland for free on that day.

You will not need to make any reservations. If you use public transportation, you only need to show your valid entrance ticket for ISU European Figure Skating Championships 2011 Bern .

I do not know from where exactly, you are coming from.

If you will be arriving by train, you can check the schedule on

Hope it helps, great weekend!

Thanks for the information!
So if i understand it correctly, I just show up at Zurich train station on the day Im holding the ticket for and will ride the train free to Bern by showing my ticket (which is a print out version so I hope that'll be ok)?
If so, thats nice..

Exactly! Though I am not sure if it goes both ways, like from Bern to Zurich too in the same day. I should probably ask that too Smile)
